Google Chrome is one of the most popular web browsers for all platforms, including iOS. There are many reasons to download Google Chrome for iOS, despite it already has a decent Safari. But if you use Chrome on your PC, you’ll probably benefit much more from having it on your mobile device.

Like It’s The Same Device

Chrome for iOS thoroughly copies the interface of its bigger version. Tabs are organized the same way, though there is only one window. The only difference you might notice is touch-based controls, but it’s quite fast to get used to.

If you already have authorized in any Google app on your device before downloading Chrome, that app will share your authorization, so you can log in with one tap. The browser syncs its data with Google cloud, so you’ll have all your bookmarks, passwords, history and even tabs in minutes (or even in seconds). Integration goes further: Gmail, Google Translator, Maps, and the core search app are interconnected and redirect to each other, too.

The browser is good at handling media. It has voice search feature with selectable language, exclusively by Google. By default, it loads adapted mobile versions of pages, but if you need to see the full one, you can switch the mode in Settings.

Alas, this Google Chrome review would be incomplete if it ignored the performance. While it’s okay on newer devices, old ones may seem too slow for Chrome.

Who needs Chrome?

It’s just like with other mobile browsers: they all have reached some level that is a must in 2019, and they keep up with each other. The main reason to download Google Chrome for iOS is Chrome being your default browser in your PC. Then you’ll benefit the most from syncing data and easy login.

The app gets constant updates, but some of them may disappoint you, as Google pursues design innovations that may seem senseless. With all relativity of ergonomics, what some consider great others may rate as poor. But it’s up to you what to think of it.
